Building a work table for the Shop

For years I have used my table saw top or saw horses as a work surface for cabinet and furniture assembly. Periodically having my table saw tied up during the fabrication process has been frustrating and inefficient. Now that I have a larger Shop I have room for a proper assembly table. After lots of thought and research (YouTube is a wonderful tool) I decided to make my version of the Paulk Workbench http://www.paulkhomes.com/order-plans. I have been saving material left over from various projects for quite a while, and with time between jobs, I can focus on some much needed Shop improvements. Below is a photo of the bench designed by Ron Paulk, I found him on YouTube. His bench is made for jobsite use and can easily be broken down and transported. What I like best is his design of the top. The work surface is kept clear by having all tools and supplies easily in reach underneath. Because I work almost exclusively in my Shop I can build a work bench with storage cabinets for every tool I use during assembly. I have plenty of space between my grinding/sharpening bench and table saw for the new work bench. I will build it with wheels so I can move it around. And by making it a little lower than the height of my table saw, I can roll it around and use it for an, also much needed, outfeed table to use when ripping long stock.
